The IMI subscription year runs from April 1st to March 31st and there are several ways to pay your subscription. Reminders will be sent out to all members in early March by email, so please ensure that your email details are correctly listed in the members directory and that you have read our subscription policy.
Remember that if you are a UK tax payer, you can claim your subscription fee against your tax bill.
Direct Debit - the easiest way to pay is by setting up a direct debit to spread your payments over the year. If you want to set up a monthly direct debit please click on the appropriate link below.
The direct debit will be setup online with our provider, GoCardless and by clicking the appropriate link above you will be directed to a secure site and asked to enter your personal contact and bank details. Once this is complete, you will be sent two confirmation emails confirming your monthly payment amount and the date of your first payment.
If you prefer to pay your annual subscription in one go, there are several methods listed below.
As from April 1st 2018 the annual fees are as follows:
Online - You can pay by debit or credit card through our secure online PayPal system. Just go to "My Account" on the members page and then select "Payments". The amount owing will be shown in your account.
Cheque or Phone - You can send a cheque to Geoff Gilbert, our Treasurer, at 14 Middle Avenue, Carlton, Nottingham, NG4 1PG, or you can pay over the phone by card by ringing Geoff on 0115 987 1468.
Invoice - If you would prefer an invoice to be raised against your hospital or business, please send an official purchase order to Geoff Gilbert by email to email@example.com or by post to the address above.
Career Breaks - If you take a career break (including maternity leave) of 12 months or more then you can retain your IMI membership at a reduced rate of £63 per year however you must notify the IMI Membership Secretary of this in advance of your leave. It cannot be claimed retrospectively.
You are strongly advised to retain your registration with the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) if taking a career break.
On your return to practice, you may be required to undertake some additional training if your break has been for more than 2 years. You should contact the AHCS in the first instance.
