Duties and Responsibilities
This post is part-time (14.6 hours per week) for one year to cover for maternity leave.
UCL LTMS Medical Photography and Health Creatives provide a comprehensive photography, design and videography service to UCL, associated Trusts and external clients on a cost recovery basis.
It is comprised of 22 staff, which are based across two sites, The Royal Free London and Great Ormond Street Hospital. This grouping offers a wealth of experience, with a clear focus on excellence; its staff regularly wins industry awards.
Medical Photography and Health Creatives, based on the Royal Free Hospital site are currently looking to recruit a member of staff to take on the role of Medical Photographer and to be part of a team of 10, comprised of administration, photography/videography and design staff. The purpose of the post is to provide clinical and general photography, videography, and medico-legal services; as well as task management responsibilities in liaison with the photography staff.
The post is to undertake specific cover the duration of which is dependent upon completion of the cover, return of the post holder or cessation of the funding, whichever is the sooner.
In the first instance the cover is estimated to be for 1 year.
The post holder should have experience in medical and general photography – ideally in an academic/NHS environment and should possess a degree or equivalent in a related subject.
The post holder requires experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office and with photography and lighting equipment; and needs to be able to work as part of a team, be confident in presenting ideas and have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including patients, clinicians, academics and clients.
