The Institute’s Certificate of Competence is now open for applications. Professional membership of IMI is open to anyone who has one of the Institute’s accredited qualifications and these same qualifications are accepted by the Academy for Healthcare Science for entry to its register as a medical Illustrator.

As a consequence of CAMIP registrants moving across to join the AHCS register in April 2017, the Professional Standards Authority issued a statement recommending that employers should only employ registered medical illustrators.
